OMRON Healthcare’s fast-growing Connected Services and Solutions team is looking for an experienced Data Science Engineer to join us in shaping the future of remote patient monitoring and digital health. In this challenging role you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to improve our digital services.

Your role:

The Data Science Engineer leads the definition, design, development, and implementation of the Connected Services and Solutions data strategy for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM). You will play a critical role in the future evolution of OMRON Healthcare’s digital services. You are a data wizard that brings out new detailed information and insights. Data gives you new ideas that will turn into business opportunities. Collaborating with domain experts you find practical solutions to persistent problems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of data sources
  • Collaborate with domain experts to solve data challenges
  • Develop advanced data reporting interfaces & dashboards to gain deeper insights into the performance of our services
  • Research and develop machine learning and statistical models to contribute to our data-driven ecosystem

Desired Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a data engineer or similar role
  • Experience with one or more programming languages, ideally Python
  • Experience with SQL
  • You can build applications and are familiar with best practices such as CI/CD, testing, and coding standards
  • Strong understanding of data models and data warehouses
  • Experience with tools such as AWS, Docker, and Kinesis is a strong plus
  • Ability to develop detailed solutions, while always maintaining a higher-level perspective
  • Good written and spoken English level
