Are you a student in the field of Data Science and Analytics and looking to gain practical experience within a fast-moving international company? This is your chance! OMRON Healthcare EMEA is looking for a bright and creative Data Science student to join our dynamic team for an exciting internship!

What will be your role?

As a member of the EMEA Connected Services and Solutions (CSS) team, you will be working at the forefront of Omron’s digital health revolution.

The CSS team is launching a range of new consumer health products, focused on digital services. Your role will be to design and implement data-driven strategies to generate insight and drive user engagement. At OMRON there is never a dull moment and you can expect that during your internship, you will:

  • Identify valuable data sources and gaps in data being collected
  • Build tools to automate data collection
  • Process structured and unstructured data
  • Design and implement data science tools to identify patterns and insights in data, creating clusters that can be targeted to drive user engagement and improve health management
  • Be a voice to the data-driven strategies for the CSS team

Next to the above mentioned activities, you may be involved in other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Who are we looking for?

  • A currently enrolled Master level student in the field of Data Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
  • Experience programing with Python and SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts
  • Curious, open-minded and a fast learner
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment

Please note: This is a full-time internship (40 hours a week) for a minimum period of 6 months. Only applicants who are enrolled as students for the entire duration of the internship will be considered. This internship assignment is not suitable to conduct your thesis. Good communication skills and proactive attitude are both important to bring this internship to success.
