Are you an experienced System and Software R&D Manager who wants to contribute to expanding OMRON Healthcare’s Digital Health Business across EMEA? Do you have extensive and progressive international experience as IT project manager (preferably in the healthcare sector), then we are looking for you!

In OMRON we are continuously creating and expanding new device-plus-service models through the development of Digital Health tools such as OMRON Connect and Hypertension Plus.

Our ambition over the coming years is to further expand and strengthen these services, working closely with our customers, regulatory authorities and key influencers. In order to achieve speed, scale and agility and be able to respond to the needs of our local users, we are expanding our local systems and software R&D capability, complemented by expertise and support of the OMRON Healthcare HQ in Japan.

Reporting directly to the Head of System R&D Service Operation, you will be joining our innovative System-Software R&D organisation in our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, NL.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for system development strategy, including organizational design and management for OHE system R&D team and selection and management of partners.
  • Responsible for the quality of OHE systems, including compliance with regulations, conformance to specifications, continuous improvement, and operational quality.
  • Leading system development and operations cost including defining and aligning development and maintenance budgets and operating within these budgets.
  • Lead the (ex- and internal) R&D delivery team, with a focus on managing schedule and alignment with the multi-functional service business team.
  • Design and operate an optimal system for OHE, keeping in mind the system development and operation policies of OMRON Global.
  • Manage and coach the team of 1 System Planning Engineer and 2 System Development Engineers.

To succeed in the role, you will need:

  • Master (University) degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 7 to 10 years’ progressive international experience as an IT project manager preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of the system development and operation of Cloud environments, Mobile Applications (IOS and Android). 
  • Knowledge and experience of how to architect a solution from the proof of concept phase to the scalable production phase.
  • Experience with leading teams (directly or on a project base).
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills.
  • Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge about MDR, GDPR, ISO13485, ITIL and related regulation
  • Experience in developing an EMR or a system that works with EMR.
